Unit Tracking
- Allows recording of the Pallet Control Voucher (PCV). This voucher is an IOU, issued by a
CHEP-registered Location, for Units owed because the Driver returned with less Empty Units than were
dropped at that Location. Attempts will be made to redeem the outstanding Units and the system will keep
track of the number of attempts made as there is a maximum number allowed before the Customer directly
owes the Unit Owner and not ourselves as the Haulage Company
- NOTE - the PEN can also be used as a PCV if the Delivery Point is not a
CHEP-registered site
Unit Tracking Summary:-
- Carrying units can be tracked throughout the network, including post delivery
- Units are typically pallets or cages but can include any carrying unit such
as dollies, trays, cartons etc.
- PEN Notes and PCV’s are also managed
