POD - Proof of Delivery

The POD stage of the order life cycle is the natural progression from Driver De-Brief and seamlessly links from this function.

The level of information that can be held in the system relating to the POD can vary and is often dependant on a customer's SLA. The solution is mindful of such variation and the data stored can range from:-

• A tick in a box to identify that a POD has been received
• The recording of the POD reference number
• Actuals relating to product quantity, arrival/collection time (if not already recorded at de-brief)
• Clauses
• The storage of a scanned image of the POD (and associated documentation) for later retrieval from within the Transport Management system, the operational website or the Document Managing System
