Equipment Control

Each trailer can be tracked through Enterprise Transport Management but there is an additional level of functionality that can be switched on if required. Trailers/Equipment can arrive at a delivery point and may remain there for some time whilst the customer is off-loading. The tractor/driver may leave the trailer on-site and it is important that trailer location is known at all times.

The equipment control function allows you to record not only that the trailer is on-site but what its status is. This would typically be one of the following:

• Loaded awaiting discharge
• Empty
• Due for discharge on a certain date
• VOR
