Barcode Label Printing / Pallet Scanning
Facilitates the generation and printing of data in barcode and data form for onward use in
the network. At the point when an order is raised in the system, a label print can be selected which will
contain pertinent information relating to the order in question. Contained on the print will be barcode and
alpha data for easy scanning and reorganisation.
The printed label can include information such as Job Type Description, Delivery Date, Collection Location,
Delivery Address, Customer Reference, Collection Reference, Delivery Reference, Booking Reference, Special
Instructions, No of Packages, Bay Ref... all of which can be taken from the order detail held in the system.
The label will then be scanned at any of the following stages as it continues through to delivery:
- Original collection
- Arrival at depot
- Any inter-depot trunking activity
- Departure from final delivery depot
- Final delivery
Extensive enquiry facilities enable tracking of a pallet on a particular job, and all scanning
activity at a specific location over a chosen period of time. (See
Consignment Tracking for more details).
